Luke had Yoda. Robin had Batman.  We all need someone to point us in the right direction when life gets difficult.

Do you feel alone, even when you’re around other people? Do you want to connect, but you worry about being rejected? You might have tried different strategies to relate to people, but you end up repeating the same negative patterns. Relationships can be complicated, whether we’re talking about friendships, family connections, or romantic relationships. If you find yourself frustrated and feeling like you want to give up on others, therapy might be helpful.

Imagine having a life in which you feel fulfilled. Imagine waking up without feeling dread about the coming day. Imagine having close relationships where you can be yourself and where you feel accepted. My purpose in therapy is create a space where you can move toward these goals. There are many feelings and thoughts within us that stop us from feeling fulfilled.

Anxiety, frustration, and self-judgment.

These feelings and thoughts cause us to withdraw into our shells.  For many people, those shells take the form of isolating ourselves from close relationships, being a workaholic, or using drugs and alcohol. Sometimes it feels like we aren’t able to safely engage in our lives.

Therapy can help you come out of your shell and feel safe in engaging with your life again.  Therapy is a safe place to explore your way of being, to become aware of how you impact the world around you.  In therapy, there is no judgment – it’s a quiet place where your thoughts and feelings can be expressed and explored.   Our goal is to empower you to create long-lasting change in your life by helping you to understand the roots of your issues.

Empowerment is why we do therapy face-to-face as well as online.  You can choose whether to come to our office or to do therapy from the comfort of your home or office.
